Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in virtualization or cloud native architectures in a customer-facing or support role within the healthcare industry.
Experience with database technologies, administration and management tools, performance tuning techniques, SQL, troubleshooting, and data migration strategies to cloud.
Experience in performing technical presentations or public speaking.
Preferred qualifications:

MBA or Master’s degree.
Experience with developing scalable architectures using API management, microservice frameworks, PaaS, container orchestration systems, or other applicable platforms (e.g., Knative) and large-scale VMware deployments.
Experience in networking, virtualization, open protocols, application acceleration, VPNs and their application to PaaS/IaaS technologies, routing/firewalls, and logging/monitoring of hybrid-cloud workloads.
Experience with cloud-native software development methodologies and tools within application development/deployment stages (e.g., Jenkins, Spinnaker, Concourse).
Ability to address application security patterns including web application security, service mesh, and mobile security.

As a Customer Engineer for Data Analytics, you will join Google’s efforts in encouraging the adoption of Google Cloud Platform, and help lead changes that can benefit stakeholders, and revamp/improve the experiences of those seeking/providing services.

In this role, you will regularly answer questions about technical features, help customers design architectures, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential roadblocks related to database migration and data back-ends.

Responsibilities
Support local business teams in pursuit of business opportunities and engage customers to address aspects of the data lifecycle.
Identify business and technical requirements, conduct full technical discovery, and architect customer solutions to meet gathered requirements.
Work with Google Cloud Platform products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer/partner environments; travel as required for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
Prepare and deliver product messaging in an effort to highlight the Google Cloud Platform value proposition, using techniques that include whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, and request further information (RFI) response documents.
Lead technical projects including activities like technology advocacy, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources.
